    Can I have a loft conversion?

    Most often, the answer is yes. Building regulations impose no minimum height for the room, however to create a functional and beautiful space in your loft it is recommended to have at least 2.2m of head height, measured from ridge timber to top of the ceiling joist. It is also worth considering where the new staircase will fit on the floor below and requires 1.9m head height. We have a variety of designs to make the most of the space available.     How much will it cost me?

    As each loft conversion is unique and tailored to suit you, prices do vary. But as a guide the starting price is £15,000. Get in touch and we can provide a free, no obligation quote.

    How long will it take?

    This will vary depending on the type of conversion you choose. However, most loft conversions take 6 - 8 weeks.

    Do I need planning permission?

    Loft conversions are commonly considered permitted development, so it is unlikely you will require planning permission, unless you wish to extend beyond set limits. We can detemine this for and if required obtain the relevant permission. Call us to arrange a visit and we can inform you of your options.

    Yes absolutely, we will provide you options for best location and style maximising the space available.

    Can I live in the house while you complete the work?

    Of course. We strive to create a considerate and friendly enviroment when invited into your home to work. Inevitably there will be some noise and dust however, most of the conversion will be contained as we work externally from scaffolding. Only when we knock through to install the staircase will this affect the main house. Be assured we reduce any disturbance to you and family at all times. We value our work ethic and we always tidy up after ourselves.

    How do I pay?

    We set out a very simple payment schedule, with phased payments and a breakdown of work included and clear set timescales.

    What about disposal?

    We sort that out too.

    Do I need to arrange scaffolding?
